- Emma’s dad dies and he has debt so Emma goes to his old boss and it’s not what she exactly wants. Few years pass and she meets 2 guys in a bar and could that be her escape from the devil.
- This is the fifth book in the series Descent into Darkness. In this book, it refers to some of the characters from the other books and they may even been in this book too. This is just like the series is names, a Descent into Darkness. This is the dark side of the city. The guys who run the dirty side of things, guns, drugs, etc. Not everyone who is associated with those groups are the monsters that others are.
In this MFM story, most of the story is about what they are going through and how they handled things. It wasn't all about what happens between the sheets. I liked that it was a good story, a love story, and that good overcomes evil.
In this story, Emma's father has died and she is picking up the pieces. Her mother has always been taken care of so she doesn't quite understand the financial situation they are in. During the funeral, her father's boss comes up to her and tells her that if they need anything, just ask. When they go outside and have a cigarette together, they exchange phone numbers so that if she needs anything, she has a way to get in touch with him. When she finds out that her father has left them broke, he has borrowed against his life insurance and his retirement fund and they will loose the house, she contacts him. He makes her an offer that will make her life and her mother's life even better than before.
Isaac and Roy have been friends since boyhood in the South Side of Chicago. As teenagers, they robbed a store and only Roy got caught. He never gave up his two buddies that were in the robbery and was sentenced to 10 years. Roy was offered to get out after 7 if he helped a cop to get info to put Mancini away. Issac has been working for Mancini for years so he would be able to get Roy in with Mancini.
Issac and Roy meet Emma at a club and both fall for her.

I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. - Emma's father died and when her mom an her find out they have so much debt an are going to lose everything she sees her dream of college disappearing before her eyes.Until his boss offers her a way out telling her he will pay off everything even the house give her mom money to continue to live the lifestyle she was used too but Emma has to work for him for four years after she graduated college.He says he will have the papers drawn up an she can come back tomorrow to sign them.Then next day she reads the contract an all the dirty things he wants to do to her including bear her she tells him to go to hell.Before she gets on the elevator he says if she leaves the things he will do for her mom will change alot.So she says things she won't do and she wants more money out into a account that if her mom died she gets the money an she signs the papers.She can't date,she has to stay a virgin etc.two years later she comes home for break to visit her mom and her mom shows her the huge tv she has.She gets together with her friend an her friend shows her that she's engaged an asks her to be her maid of honor.When she asks her to go out for drinks an dinner she says no.When she gets home her mom says look Josef Weber was arrested for murder .She's happy he will never get out.She calls her friend an says yes let's go out.Her friend orders two margaritas an food then says there's two guys over there staring at you. Then the waitress comes over with two margaritas an says they are from the guys over there.Her friend says thank you.Don't look now but they are coming over.The guys come up an she says thanks for the drinks were celebrating my friends engagement.
